कुमार कुंदन कुसुम ( Kumar Kundan Kusum )जन्म 20 अक्टूबर 1969: मूलतः एक लेखक, पत्रकार और जनहित के मुद्दों पर सामाजिक आन्दोलनकारी के रूप में जाने जाते हैं । शिक्षक पिता ( सेवानिवृत ) के घर कुमार कुंदन कुसुम का जन्म ग्राम सुरनी (झारखण्ड ) में मध्यवर्गीय परिवार में हुआ । कुसुम ने विज्ञान संकाय में शिक्षा हासिल की। परिवार की पुश्तैनी काश्तकारी के सान्निध्य में इन्हें प्रकृति से अनुपम लगाव रहा । सम्प्रति रॉबर्टसन टाउन, स्टेडियम रोड, साहिबगंज में निवास कर रहे हैं ।साल 1990 के कालखंड में स्थानीय समाचार पत्र साहिबगंज टाइम्स, संथाल परगना एक्सप्रेस में पत्रकारिता प्रारंभ की। तब मैन्युअल प्रेस छपाई का जमाना था। प्रतिष्ठित दैनिक पत्र प्रभात खबर में कई वर्षों तक जिला प्रतिनिधि रहे। कुसुम ओजस्वी व्यक्तित्व के धनी प्रखर वक्ता भी रहे हैं । लोकमुद्दों के सवाल पर इनके सत्याग्रही रूप को जनमानस के अन्तस् ने स्वीकार किया ।
साहिबगंज से जब रेल का स्टीम लोकोशेड उजडा तब शहर की चरमराती अर्थव्यवस्था को बचाने की खातिर साथियों सहित 1994 में रेल विकास मंच के तहत विराट जनांदोलन किया जिसमे पुलिस गोलीकांड में कई हताहत हुए उन मांगों में गंगा पुल निर्माण भी था जिसका अब पीएम नरेंद्र मोदी ने शिलान्यास किया। आन्दोलनों के क्रम में कई झूठे मुक़दमे भी लड़े, सरकार ने एक दिन के लिए जेलयातना भी दी ।
माताजी के धर्मप्रेमी स्वभाव की वजह से धार्मिक प्रवृति का होने के कारण कई धार्मिक स्थलों की स्थापना और जीर्णोद्धार हुआ। जेल परिसर आदि में मंदिर स्थापित हुए । इससे परिसर में विविध संगठनों द्वारा सामाजिक क्रियाकलाप शुरू हुए । कई मंदिर समाज को समर्पित किए । मुस्लिम बस्ती अंजुमन में हड्डी गोदाम सड़ने के दुर्गन्ध से अचानक हो रही दर्जनों मुसलमानों की मौतों पर कड़े सवाल उठाए और वधशाला हटाओ आंदोलन के दरम्यान गोवध निषेध अधिनियम तभी पारित हुआ और वध रोकने की जिम्मेवारी डीसी, एसपी को दी गयी थी । अफसर नावाकिफ हैं ।
मानव संसाधन विकास मंत्रालय के प्रो. यशपाल की टीम में भी रहे और भारत जन ज्ञान विज्ञान जत्था के अध्यक्ष की हैसियत से समाज में अंधविश्वास उन्मूलन के लिए कार्य किया सरकार आयोजित पहाडिया महोत्सव में जत्था के क्रियाकलापों को सर्वश्रेष्ठ अवार्ड भी मिला ।
मूर्धन्य साहित्यकार राघवेंद्र, अविनाशचंद्र मिश्र, डॉ मधुकर गंगाधर, रणविजय सिंह सत्यकेतु, डॉ खगेन्द्र ठाकुर एवं वामपंथी साहित्यकारों के संपर्क में कुछ समय बिताए। ऐतिहासिक राजमहल में आयोजित एक सामूहिक भोज में तो राजनीतिज्ञ नीतीश कुमार ने सम्मानपूर्वक लोटे के जल की धार से भोजनोपरांत प्रेम से हाथ धुलवाए थे जो जनता की यादों में अब भी रची बसी है । कोयलामंत्री रहने के बाद नीतीश पहली बार इस क्षेत्र में आए थे ।
1996 में एक छोटी बच्ची के संग हुए दुष्कर्म के विरोध में समर्पित हो संयुक्त नागरिक मंच बनाकर रात दिन डेढ़ माह स्टेशन चौक पर आंदोलन किया और अंततः NHRC के अध्यक्ष जस्टिस रंगनाथ मिश्र के मानवाधिकार टीम की जांच हुई । रिपोर्ट 4 साल बाद आई जिसका कोई सकारात्मक असर नहीं हुआ। उनदिनों ‘क्रांतिसंवाद’ साप्ताहिक पत्र का सम्पादन कार्य चल रहा था जिसमे पहली बार बलात्कारी को फांसी देने की मांग उठाई गयी थी ।
1996 में दैनिक मजदूरों के रोजगार निधि के गबन से सम्बंधित मामला मस्टर रोल घोटाला उजागर कर इसे 1997 में न्यायार्थ जनहित याचिका के रूप में पटना हाईकोर्ट की चौखट तक ले गए तब अखंड बिहार था। माननीय उच्च न्यायालय में वरिष्ठ वकील से किंचित कारणवश फ़ाइल छीना क्योंकि वकील मुद्दे की असल बात कोर्ट में रखने को तैयार न थे । फिर भारत के नागरिक ( petitioner – in – person ) के रूप में डेढ़ वर्षों तक अपना पक्ष स्वयं रखा और CBI जांच का आदेश हासिल किया । यह बात दीगर है की जाँच एजेंसियों ने अभियुक्तों का बचाव किया । पटना इनकम टैक्स गोलंबर पर CBI के विरुद्ध साथियों सहित आंदोलन पर डट गए । समय बीतते एक्ट नरेगा 2005 में बना पर यह गलत ड्राफ्ट कर डाला गया, भ्रष्टाचार और लूट की परिपाटी आज भी जारी है । धृष्टता है जो पूज्य बापू का नाम लगाकर मनरेगा कर दिया गया है ।
2005 में क. ख. असंगठित मजदूर यूनियन में ट्रेडयूनियन के मुखपत्र ‘कोश्चन क्रांति’ का प्रथम अंक ही निकला था कि दस रूपये वाला सूचना अधिकार अधिनियम 2005 देश में लागू कर दिया गया । केकर जत्था का संचालन कर बूढ़े मजदूरों की परवरिश की ओर सरकार का ध्यान आकृष्ट कराया गया ।
2014 से 2017 तक तत्कालीन गृहमंत्री भारत सरकार श्री राजनाथ सिंह के मीडिया कार्यों में कंटेंट राइटर रहे । 2019 में भोपाल के संपादक सुनील शुक्ल ने प्रतिष्ठित समाचार पत्र दैनिक भास्कर के कटिहार ( बिहार ) जिला ब्यूरो में काम करने भेजा जहाँ covid 19 के माहौल के पूर्व तक कार्यरत रहे । वहां दैनिक भास्कर अखबार ने अपने को बिहार में नंबर तीन से दो पर लाने के लिए कुसुम को प्रशस्ति पत्र दिया । कुमार कुंदन कुसुम अद्यतन हिंदी पत्रिका ”सही दिशा कीओर” के संपादक हैं ।
